COP29 – Trailblazers, Changemakers, & Innovators

For a third year running, top women leaders representing the U.S. Climate Alliance and America Is All In convened at COP29 for a discussion on how they got their start, the unique perspectives they bring, challenges they face in their roles, their top climate and clean energy priorities, opportunities for collaboration, and much, much more.

Top local, state, federal, business, and civil society leaders representing the U.S. Climate Alliance, America Is All In, U.S. Green Building Council, and ICLEI USA came together for a dynamic discussion on the past year of climate progress and the work ahead to sustain and accelerate it, including action to achieve the country’s 2030 Nationally Determined Contribution.

The U.S. Climate Alliance unveiled a series of new commitments from its members to eliminate emissions from buildings, including collectively quadrupling heat pump installations by the end of the decade.

The U.S. Climate Alliance hosted a news conference with New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy at the Javits Center in New York, New York.

The U.S. Climate Alliance today announced that six of its governors — Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Hawaii Gov. David Ige, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, and Oregon Gov. Kate Brown — alongside top state officials from California, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Maryland, and Minnesota will participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland between October 31 and November 12, 2021.
