Katie Schlick is a Federal and External Affairs Associate at the U.S. Climate Alliance, working to advance federal engagement, state-level climate policy, and climate coalition-building. Before joining the Alliance, Katie served for two years as Special Assistant to the National Climate Advisor in the Biden-Harris White House. She previously worked as an environmental planner at the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments and has interned in Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro’s district office, CT Department of Environmental Protection, CT Office of Policy and Management, and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Katie’s research background and policy interests include climate resilience and adaptation, climate and health, and building a climate-ready workforce. She grew up in Connecticut and is passionate about public service, climate action, democracy, and amplifying youth voices. Katie graduated from Yale University in 2022 with a B.A. with Distinction in Environmental Studies.
