On day one of the Local Leaders Forum, Alliance co-chair Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham hit the ground running. At a press conference, they unveiled the coalition’s 2025 Annual Report, highlighting the sustained, collective progress from the Alliance’s 24 states and territories.
Pressing Forward: Governors’ Enduring Fight for a Resilient and Sustainable Future details how Alliance members are achieving record climate pollution reductions, driving economic growth, building the clean energy and clean technology future, and charting a path forward to save Americans trillions of dollars. Analysis included in the report, finds that the Alliance members have collectively reduced net greenhouse gas emissions 24 percent below 2005 levels, while increasing their collective GDP by 34 percent.

In Brazil, a U.S. delegation of more than 100 local leaders are participating in the U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP30), the COP30 Local Leaders Forum, and the C40 World Mayors Summit throughout November. The delegation, which includes U.S. governors, mayors, and other top city and state officials, is led by Governors Evers and Lujan Grisham alongside top officials representing America Is All In and Climate Mayors.
