Dr. Cassaundra Rose is a Policy Advisor with the U.S. Climate Alliance, where she leads the Alliance’s work in the Natural and Working Lands sectors. Prior to joining the Alliance, Dr. Rose served as the state Climate Council Coordinator and Senior Science Analyst with the Maine Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future (GOPIF), where she supported the Maine Climate Council and the creation and implementation of Maine’s four-year climate action plan. Prior to working for GOPIF, Dr. Rose managed the federal and state geoscience policy and communications programs at the American Geosciences Institute. Dr. Rose has more than ten years of academic climate research experience, with expertise in terrestrial and ocean climate variability in western North America and northern Africa. She holds a B.S. in Geology from Florida State University, a M.S. in Geology from the University of California, Riverside, and a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science from Columbia University.
