Milka Rodriguez has steered her professional career towards sustainable development with a focus on environmental sustainability and community economic development. She has 13 years of experience working in the public sector performing community outreach and organizing, education, minority entrepreneur assistance, and climate policy and environmental justice projects. She has implemented high profile social impact programs in coordination with the NYC Mayor’s Office, community groups, government agencies, NGOs, and private companies. She has also served as a Civil Society Youth Representative and Youth Steering Committee Member to the UN Department of Global Communications.

 

She is an alumna of the Island Innovation Ambassador program, Peace Boat Youth for the SDGs Scholar, FUNGLODE Dominican Republic Fellow, Senior Environmental Leadership Fellow, Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leader, the prestigious CORO Leadership NY program, and U. S. Spain Council’s Young Leaders Program.

 

In her personal life, she is an enthusiast for salsa dancing, cycling, hiking, and the jetset girl life!
