The U.S. Climate Alliance convened governors from California, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, Virginia, and Washington for a discussion of the unprecedented action states are taking to deliver on America’s commitment to the Paris Agreement.

U.S. governors are advancing the most ambitious state climate agenda in U.S. history, in spite of federal inaction and attacks on climate-focused policies. They are rebuilding our nation’s climate framework, driving U.S. policy and technological innovation, and pushing ahead to create the low-carbon economy of the future.

At this event, U.S. governors shared the progress they’ve made in implementing a bold climate agenda and delivering on America’s commitment to the Paris Agreement, as well as what they see on the horizon as 2020 approaches.

Participants:

  • California Governor Gavin Newsom
  • Maine Governor Janet Mills
  • New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy
  • New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham
  • Virginia Governor Ralph Northam
  • Washington Governor Jay Inslee
