Home / Climate Week NYC 2022 – Full Speed Ahead
During Climate Week NYC 2022, the U.S. Climate Alliance hosted a news conference with New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy at the Javits Center in New York, NY, to highlight how Alliance states are supercharging climate action at home, while collaborating on bold and innovative solutions with their neighbors and working to deliver on the promise of the Inflation Reduction Act.

At the news conference, Governor Hochul discussed how the state’s large-scale renewable energy projects will power millions of New York homes and move the state closer to its 2030 target of 70 percent electricity from renewable sources, while Governor Murphy increased New Jersey’s offshore wind goal by nearly 50 percent and released the Green Jobs for a Sustainable Future report, outlining recommendations and pathways for growing a demographically representative and inclusive green workforce.
