Home / COP27 – What Do Recent Climate Actions and Investments in the U.S. Mean for the World?
Hosted by The Nature Conservancy, this moderated panel discussed featured leading voices from the federal government, business, state entities and stakeholders in the U.S. who have helped shape and participate in recent policy and funding actions pertaining to climate mitigation and resilience investments.
This timely discussion took place against the backdrop of recent historic legislation passed by the U.S. Congress and attention on the Biden-Harris administration’s work to prioritize implementation of nature-positive, climate-smart investments.
Participants, which included leaders in the Natural and Working Lands (NWL) and climate policy spaces, also discussed new climate investments that help meet the U.S. nationally determined contribution as well as inspire and impact global action. At the state level, Alliance Executive Director Casey Katims highlighted how, by standing united, Alliance governors can maximize climate action while raising ambition on the world stage.
